In the current political context, the Political Working Group of Convergence(s) has decided to launch a series of meetings in Brussels. The aim is both to raise awareness of the Convergence(s) for New Education network and to highlight eight key issues that our member organizations are committed to advancing.

While the European level is not the only arena demanding our attention—especially given the many challenges and tensions facing our respective countries—it remains a crucial space for advocacy and action that we cannot afford to overlook.

The eight proposals and demands presented below have been endorsed by the Convergence(s) Steering Committee and are available in several languages.

They will serve as the foundation for the meetings we have secured with a range of European networks and platforms, including SOLIDAR, the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP), Eurochild, the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA), and the Learning for Well-being Foundation, as well as with institutional representatives such as Members of the European Parliament and the European Trade Union Committee for Education, among others.

Seek, resist, mobilize, and fight for a democratic, ecological, and empowering education in Europe
